THE link between Benore Care Centre and Benarty Primary School, in Lochore, grew stronger on Thursday.

Some school children from the BPS Glee Club were at the care home to perform some Christmas songs for the residents and at the same time collect valuable assets for the future.

Benore's lead wellbeing co-ordinator, Ross Gavin, said: "The school recently asked our director, Adrian Hendry, for a donation of some cameras that would help with their evidence of learning, and upcoming projects within the school, and he has very generously purchased two of these.

"Glee Club organiser, Kay Buchanan, brought along 20 of the children who accepted the cameras on behalf of the school and at the same time the children entertained the residents".

The cameras are Nikon Coolpix A10s, along with two memory cards, and the youngsters were looking forward to capturing end of term activities by using them.

Added Ross: "The links between Benore Care Centre and the primary school are getting ever stronger and the children have invited some residents over to the school on Thursday December 19 to see their Christmas show and they are really looking forward to it.

"These two events are the latest in the excellent link-ups we have with the school and the residents really enjoy the visits from the children, and also going over the road to the school, to see their shows."

During Thursday afternoon the staff at Benore were showcasing the brand new Giant iPad table they have recently acquired which allows them to record many of the good activities going on at the three links in the Benore chain at Lochleven Road.
