THE charity work of Cardenden Co-op continued last weekend when three village causes received important support.

These were the 4th Fife Scouts, the Tots2TeenTogs charity and Fernlea Care Home who benefitted from a huge amount raised through their membership scheme.

Customers are able to recommend local causes to benefit from their scheme which sees percentage of purchases contribute.

2019 has of course, been a difficult year for Cardenden's 4th Fife scouts after fire wrecked their Cardenden Road hall in February. They have been working hard to get things back on course and are currently busily raising funds for a replacement home.

Tots2Teens have been helping local families get good quality kids clothing through an excellent recycling scheme involving the community and Vi Penman and Nicola Wilson have been delighted with the support they have had.

New Cardenden Co-op manager Emma Love was delighted with being able to help village causes: "I would really just like to thank my team and our fabulous customers who helped raise the £6,000 for our three causes Tots2TeenTogs, the 4th Scouts and the retirement home.

"As the new store manager in the Cardenden Co-op I am very keen on continuing the great charity work that the store has always been involved in".
