A CHARITY 'panto in the pub' at Kelty Ex-Servicemen's Club on Sunday was a huge success for two local charities.

Laura Hodge organised the event and could not believe the amount of cash raised for the good causes.

Laura, of The Beat Box organisation, was really pleased with the way the people at the event joined in.

She said: "My music company writes Scottish pantomimes and this year and last we've then adapted the script for an adult only audience and had a 'panto in the pub' for charity!

"Last year we sold 60 tickets and raised £700 for charity, this year we sold over 140 tickets and raised £1,700!

"We asked for charity suggestions and the top two were Gordon Cottage, in Kelty, and CHAS at Rachel House in Kinross".

Added Laura: "All the cast were volunteers and did a great job helping to raise money for these awesome causes!"
