DUNDONALD Bluebell have postponed their game this coming Saturday as a mark of respect for the secretary of opponents Dunbar United who passed away at the end of Saturday's game with Crossgates Primrose.
Dunbar were battling out a 2-2 draw at Humbug Park with the Primrose, when Malcolm Jones fell ill in the closing seconds of the game.
The players and officials of both sides and match officials were deeply shocked and saddened by the situation.
There was no question of the Dunbar v Bluebell match going ahead on Saturday and Dundonald tweeted: "Saturday's game at Dunbar United has been postponed as a mark of respect for Malcolm Jones, the Dunbar secretary, who sadly passed away last weekend. Our thoughts are with all our friends at Dunbar and Malcolm’s family at this sad time".
