THE Benarty Christmas Light Switch-On was entrusted to the younger element on Thursday.

Lochore Miners Institute was the centre of attention at 3.30pm.

With various entertainment and carol singing providing a seasonal atmosphere it was a great day for the younger element.

Jamie the Juggler produced some amazing routines which had the young audience spellbound and of course Santa was having a few words with the children to find out what they were wanting or Christmas.

The lights were switched on by Layla Graham and Lewis Crosbie, from Benarty Kids Community Club who are Benarty Young Citizens Of The Year 2019.

The kids did brilliantly in turning the lights on and immediately the Benarty area had that festive feel about it.

It is the start of an exciting few weeks in the Ballingry, Lochore, Crosshill and Glencraig area which will be followed by the Santa Parade through the communities on Friday December 6 at 5pm and then the Christmas Fayre at the Community Centre the following day at 11am.

Then Christmas will be wound up with a Boxing Night with the Benarty Events Group night at Lochore Institute on December 26.
