BRAG Enterprises are celebrating today (Thursday).

For the past 30 years the organisation has made a difference to the people of Benarty in particular but also in the wider Fife context and as well as celebrating the milestone they are also holding their AGM which at The Dean Park Hotel in Kirkcaldy.

The Social Enterprise was set up in the Crosshill Centre in 1989 and has been involved in providing key training opportunities, alongside many other facilities, as well as a base for several local businesses.

The day includes a guest appearance from Cllr Altany Craik, chair of Fife Council's Tourism, Economy, Strategic Planning and Transportation Committee, who as well as speaking will also be helping to present staff and trustees with ‘outstanding contribution’ awards.

Said BRAG's Liz McMenemy: "The organisation plans to use the opportunity to look back on a 30-year history reflecting on the humble beginnings in Benarty and the impact made in that time both within Benarty and beyond.

"We will also be paying a fond tribute to our late founder and trustee Willie Clarke.

"It’s also going to be a wonderful opportunity to find out more about who BRAG are, what the organisation does and have a glimpse into their vision of the future. Refreshments will be provided, with a chance to mingle before and after the event".
