CARDENDEN'S 4th Fife Scouts are continuing to raise funds to replace their hall which was destroyed by fire earlier this year.

The 4th had a highly successful event on Saturday and this Friday evening have another which they hope will be an equally successful venture.

Said the 4th Fife's Rosemary Wallace: "We had a very successful Ceilidh and Quiz night on Saturday raising over £800 towards the new hall.

"Many thanks are due to Gordon Haddow and Nicola Braid, who provided the music, and Graham Gilbert who was a wonderful quizmaster.

"We now have a concert this Friday in aid of the fund involving the Bowhill Players which is going ahead at the Corrie Centre at 7pm.

"Tickets will be available at the door for this concert involving very popular local musicians."
