SANTA'S taking a break from finding out who's naughty and nice with a trip to Cowdenbeath.

He'll be coming to town on Sunday November 24 for the lights switch-on.

It's the main highlight in Cowdenbeath Civic Week's festive activities and gets underway at the Green Square from 4pm with entertainment from Mr Mohawk.

Santa will arrive by train at around 5.40pm – assuming it's not a ScotRail service – with the lights switch-on at 6pm.

There are two events to enjoy on Saturday December 7 with a Christmas Fair at Beath High School from 1pm to 4pm.

Entry is free and it'll run alongside the children's Christmas party, which is at Beath from 2pm to 4pm.

Tickets are £3 per child and available from Beath Bargain Store, Hallmark, Precious Events/Lucie Sue Gifts, the Dalbeath Co-op and Raja Bros on Mosside Road.

There'll be entertainment from Mr Mohawk as well as dancing, games, prizes, bouncy castles and lots of fun!

On Sunday December 15 there will be a Christmas concert from 6.30pm to 8.30pm.

It's at Beath High too and tickets are £3 for adults and £2 for children. It includes refreshments and some festive nibbles will be on sale from Precious Events/Lucie Sue Gifts.

As well as the community choir, the event will be supported by Kingdom Brass.
