THE Central Fife Crime Prevention Panel is planning to have its anti-speeding campaign go into action as the evenings and mornings are now that much darker.

Wednesday’s meeting of the panel heard that this was one of the panel initiatives which would be ongoing for the rest of this year and into 2020.

Panel chair David Roy said: “Speeding and bad parking issues are continuing to occur around all our local primary schools.

“We will be holding events at two of our primary schools over the coming few weeks to try to get over to drivers the dangers that this causes for pupils.

“Again we will be hoping that the school Junior Road Safety Officers play a lead role in the initative.

“With the light now at a limited amount in the morning and evening we feel it is important that drivers take care near schools.”
