THE Cardenden Community Bonfire and Fireworks Display goes ahead on Friday November 8 and organisers are expecting a crowd of more than 4,000 at Wallsgreen Park.
The Bonfire Committee has been working hard over the past few weeks to ensure that everything is perfect for the big event and the evening's activities will start at 7pm with the lighting of the bonfire by local elected councillors.
Said chair of the Cardenden Community Bonfire and Fireworks Display Committee, Alex Burns: "The very popular and outstanding fireworks display will begin after the bonfire is lit on Friday.
"It will be another spectacular display and people should remember not to bring fireworks or sparklers to the evening's event."
There will also be sideshows at Wallsgreen on the night and also food vans to cater for the big crowd.
Alex added that the Bonfire Committee will not be collecting wood for the bonfire.
