A SERIES of charity night events for Cancer Research saw £4,000 raised by customers of Wee Jimmies, in Cowdenbeath.
The team at the High Street public house has been a strong supporter of cancer charities and it led to a substantial sum being handed over to staff from the Western General Hospital in Edinburgh.
Said mine host at Wee Jimmies, Gary Roy: "Our patrons are strong supporters of various events that have gone on in the pub and we were very pleased to be hand over such a good sum as £4,000.
"We were told by our visitors from the Western General that the money will be invested in furniture which will be used by out patients waiting for treatment."
Gary warmly thanked everyone who had made a contribution to the cause over the past few months which saw the total rise to the very good total of £4,000.
