WE are in the last week of the public vote for Cowdenbeath in the Great British High Street Awards Rising Star category and the town needs your support.

Judges were in town on September 20 and were impressed by the community led approach to the regeneration of the High Street with great input from the Community Council, Beath High School, Cowdenbeath FC, street artist Kerry Wilson, and local shopkeepers.

The judges walked around the town with members of the Love Cowdenbeath Group and especially enjoyed the striking murals at Brunton Square and the Green Square.

The judges carry four fifths of the total vote for each entrant but the public vote is vital so the more local people who cast their vote for Cowdenbeath, the better.
