A SHERIFF has hit out at a Kelty man who has still not completed a community payback orders for convictions from more than four years ago.

Sam Tullet, 27, of Beechbank Crescent, previously admitted that on June 15, 2015, at Guildhall Street, he drove a car after consuming so much alcohol that the proportion of it in in his breath was 56 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, he drove without a valid licence and insurance and behaved in a threatening or abusive manner which was likely to cause a reasonable person to suffer fear or alarm in that he shouted, swore, uttered threats of violence and struggled with police officers.

Also, on November 4, 2016, he failed to appear at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court. And, on July 9, 2016, at East High Street, Crieff, drove a van without insurance and at Gulf Petrol Station on the same street, stole a quantity of fuel.

Sheriff James McDonald said: "You have had just about enough time to do these orders. You are just not engaging.

"These orders are alternatives to a custodial sentence – there is no in between.

"You have to do a minimum of 40 hours of unpaid work by your next review.

"This is your last chance, otherwise you will be going to prison."

The sentence was continued until October 9.
