THE special gust at the opening meeting of the new session of Cowdenbeath and District Probus Club was Yolanda Hilton.

Yolanda is in her second spell as president of Cowdenbeath Rotary Club and was excellent as guest speaker and proved very entertaining.

She outlined how it was an honour to be asked to take on the role of Rotary president again and she enjoyed being able to tell the Probus members of some of the recent projects which the local rotarians had been working on and some of those which will be coming up in the next few months.

Yolanda stressed that they were always wanting to help deserving causes in the Cowdenbeath-Lochgelly area but also enjoyed helping causes abroad including sponsoring Indian children's education.

The Probus Club meets on a fortnightly basis and meets on Tuesday mornings at 10am at St.Serf's Church Hall, in Lochgelly and are always on the look out for new members and anyone is welcome to go along and get involved.
