THERE are plans to start a junior parkrun for children at Fife Cycle Park at Glencraig.
And a meeting will be held at the venue on Thursday at 6pm to outline the proposals and recruit volunteers.
Fife Council are supporting the idea and the free parkrun will be for kids aged between four and 14.
Held every Sunday at 9.30am, the timed event would be run entirely by volunteers who can commit to setting up and running it.
Children can run on their own or with an adult and the route is fully marshalled so the children are in sight at all times.
Volunteers will be needed on the day from around 8.30am until the run finishes around 10am.
They won't have to commit to every Sunday as the aim is to work on a rota basis depending on numbers.
You can find out more information at the meeting or by emailing andrew.aird@parkrun.com.
