A CRANE falling off a lorry on the M90 in the forenoon led to mayhem on the M90 and A92 today.
By mid afternoon the Halbeath to Pitreavie stretch of the M90 was closed and traffic was logjammed on the Crossgates to Dunfermline road.
People were trying to get south via that route but the volume of traffic was making it take more than an hour to get from Inverkeithing Road to Aberdour Road in Dunfermline.
The A92 was also logjammed with vehicles running from Crossgates back to Cowdenbeath and stationary.
The road was still shut by 4.30pm.
