COWDENBEATH man Ian Thomson saw his street again flood alarmingly yesterday afternoon when thunderstorms hit the area.

Ian has had several difficult days in Mossbank this summer as heavy rain has at times bombarded the town.

Indeed, Ian's garage, which houses his office, was flooded only a few weeks back and Fife Council workmen have been clearing drains to make things work better to help a street which suffers from water running down from Greenbank Drive and Hillcrest onto it.

Ian reported: "Yesterday saw the street flood to 80% again as the joiners and painters were trying to restore things after the last flood.

"The rain was torrential and the street was again flooding alarmingly.

"I let the council and Scottish Water know what was happening and also the local councillors for it has been really worrying for us in this part of the street."
