A CARDENDEN man put his partner through a frightening ordeal when she told him their relationship was over.

The police were called to put him out of her house but he then returned in the early hours of the morning.

Andrew Reilly, 36, of Kirkburn Drive, appeared from custody at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.

He admitted that on May 25 at Boyd Place, Lochgelly, he repeatedly shouted and swore at his then partner, repeatedly attended at her home in the knowledge he was not welcome, and stared into the windows.

He also admitted kicking a fence there and damaging it.

He further admitted that on various occasions on June 26 and 27 he breached his bail condition by repeatedly attempting to contact her.

Depute fiscal, Azrah Yousaf, said that following a dispute, she had told Reilly their relationship was over.

The police were called when he would not leave her home. He then left but later returned in the early hours of the morning.

Reilly was shouting abuse at his former partner and kicked the fence. He was then seen in the garden looking through a window.

Defence solicitor, Alexander Flett, said: “He was consuming alcohol to excess at this time. He now accepts the relationship is over.”

Sheriff Craig McSherry imposed a five-month restriction of liberty order.
