BEATH High School began this year's awards process with the Junior Awards.

The school's S1-S3 pupils were given a fantastic evening with their parents and carers.

Their dedication and hard work in academia, music, sports and the Arts was recognised and celebrated.

The Sports Leaders led the proceedings and gave a vote of thanks to the staff and pupils.

The wonderful junior choir sang ‘A Million Dreams’ showing their talent to the full. The pipers gave a resounding rendition of two Scottish tunes, raising the roof with their abilities.

Rector Steven Ross said he and the staff were all so proud of the young people and their achievements.

The next that came later in June waw the Senior Awards.

A time for the school to celebrate the hard work and effort that the pupils of S4-S6 have put in over the past year. Mr Ross stressed: "From Subject Winners to sports leadership, from excellence in music to excellence in creative writing, we want to applaud the young people’s efforts in everything that they do.

"Our community awards for Endeavour and Citizenship are always so difficult to choose because each and every one of our pupils work hard in more than academic subjects, they volunteer in our community and show the true spirit of Beath."

This year, saw a former pupil and head girl attend and give a speech on her time both at school and the years since. Morna McMurray is a true inspiration to our young people, highlighting just what can be done with the hard work they have put in. A huge thanks went from Mr Ross to Morna for her words of wisdom.

With pipes, musical interludes and the senior choir, it was the perfect way to end the academic school year.

The platform party for the Junior ceremony was led by Piper Milly Fox

During the ceremony there was string music and numbers from the junior pipers and a number from the junior choir.
