THERE are proposals to convert an office block at CommScope Technologies site in Lochgelly into 10 smaller business units.
A planning application has been submitted by Fife Group, based in Kirkcaldy, for part of the company's premises at The Avenue.
The office block is part of a larger factory building and the aim is to turn it into smaller, self-contained spaces for other firms to use, with eight business units on the ground floor and two on the first floor.
The plans include internal alterations and subdivisions, a new external steel staircase for a fire escape, minor changes to the external landscaping and the glazing at the front.
The site has been operational since 1966. Andrew Antenna opened up in Lochgelly, at the former Nellie Pit Baths site, in July of that year with a 10,000 square foot factory.
It was later taken over by CommScope, an American firm.
