BAD blood between neighbours ended up with two women fighting outside a store in Cowdenbeath.
Charmaine Brown, who was visiting the street, “charged” at another woman after an exchange of words.
Brown, 26, of McGinlay Terrace, Lochore, appeared at Dunfermline Sheriff Court for sentencing.
She previously admitted that on August 20 last year at Moss Side Road, Cowdenbeath, she behaved in a disorderly manner, fought with another woman and committed a breach of the peace.
Depute fiscal Katherine Fraser said there was a background of “neighbourhood tensions” in the area.
The incident began at around 10.45pm when the woman left her home to go to a shop. She observed Brown and others in a house in the street.
“Don’t you wave at my boyfriend Kieran,” Brown shouted to her.
The woman replied: “Leave us alone. If you have something to say, come to my door. I have to live in the street, you don’t.”
There were also comments made about tyres having been slashed in an earlier incident.
“The accused charged at her and a brawl ensued outside the shop,” said the depute. “Both fell to the floor and this was all captured on CCTV. There was a number of people egging them on.”
Defence solicitor Alexander Flett said: “There had been tensions in the street. There was an exchange and it became unpleasant, resulting in a fight.
“She was wrong to become involved."
Sheriff Charles MacNair pointed out that Brown had just been put on a community payback order two weeks before the offence.
He imposed another community payback order with 150 hours of unpaid work.
