THE Salvation Army celebrates 120 years in Lochgelly this weekend.
On Saturday June 15 a special Celebration programme is being held at St Serf's Church, Lochgelly, led by the East of Scotland Youth Band and Chorus at 7pm and on Sunday, the 16th, a special service will be conducted by Major Joy Paxton.
Major Mary MacDonald, of Lochgelly Salvation Army said: "It is excellent that we have two important events to celebrate 120 years in the town.
"The concert is at St Serf's Church, as our Auchterderran Road Hall is not big enough for such an event, but it will house Sunday's service which will be conducted by Joy Paxton, herself a Lochgelly woman who spent a lot of time as a missionary in Africa."
