COWDENBEATH Civic Week starts on Saturday June 8 as a week of events are planned to involve people of all ages.
The Bunting will be put up on the High Street early on Saturday morning to make the centre of the town have that Civic Week feel and it will be a 6am start.
However, people are welcome to get involved and help out and if anyone wants to help they should contact the committee on civicweekenquiries@outlook.com or message them via Facebook.
Things really get going with the Tea Dance at the Cowdenbeath Palais De Danse being held at Beath High Community Use
from 2.00 to 4.00pm.
Said Committee secretary Claire Morgan: "Following the success of last year we decided to hold this event again which will remind people of the Palais which was the top night spot in Cowdenbeath.
"Live music, an afternoon tea, dancing and a sing song. Tickets are £2 and are on sale now from Precious Events/Lucie Sue Gifts and Barnardos on Cowdenbeath High Street. To make a group booking please contact civicweekenquiries@outlook.com"
The Care Home/Sheltered Housing Visits will take place again this year and these always prove highly successful.
The Cowdenbeath Gala Royals team will be visiting the local care homes and sheltered housing complexes with the Gala Queen being the star attraction.
On Sunday June 9 the Civic Week Service will go ahead and this year the venue is the Salvation Army Hall, in Stenhouse Street at 6pm.
