A CARDENDEN man is behind bars after going on a spree of vandalism in which he smashed the windows of several cars with a baton.
Kenneth Solway, 20, also damaged a window at the home of his partner by striking it.
Solway, of Dundonald Park, appeared from custody at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.
He admitted that on June 1, at Denfield Avenue, Cardenden, he damaged five vehicles with a baton.
Two cars had their windscreens smashed, two had their back windows smashed and another vehicle’s rear light was damaged.
He also admitted that at the home of his partner, he struck a window with a baton repeatedly and smashed it.
He admitted a further charge of being in possession of cannabis resin.
Defence solicitor Alexander Flett said there was a “background of mental health issues”.
“This was one night when he went off the rails,” he added.
Sheriff Craig McSherry called for reports until June 26 and Solway was remanded in custody.
