THE team of young Lochgelly based artistes are staging a special show in June to mark their anniversary.

Nardone's Academy of Performing Arts celebrate their anniversary this year presenting 'Work of Art,' on Thursday June 20, a showcase based production with hits from ABBA's MAMA MIA, Doly Parton's 9 to 5 and a huge mash-up of modern and old time hits!

The musical story began with Lochgelly Youth Theatre which last year became Nardone's Academy of Performing Arts, still based at the former Lochgelly Baptist Church Hall.

It was former Lochgelly High School pupil, Liam Nardone, who was a key figure in setting up the whole structure and he is still involved, combining his studies at college with directing the Academy's next big show 'Legally Blonde' which takes the stage in August at Dunfermline's Alhambra Theatre.

However, before that they are celebrating their anniversary with musical madness in 'Work of Art'.

Said Liam: "Everyone has been very focussed on Legally Blonde but have also had their eyes on making this anniversary show a real top class event.

"The cast are thrilled to be back performing at the Lochgelly Centre for this special time of the year! Literally back to where it all began!

"There will be some great numbers performed by our talented artistes from Abba, Dolly Parton and a mixture of top songs from shows which have hit the stages and become big news. Quality never goes out of style".

This will be the first time that the Academy has done a revue style show but it is certain to be as successful as the other ventures put on by them in recent years.
