A man has been arrested in connection with the indecent assault of a 14-year-old schoolgirl in a public toilet in Inverclyde.

The incident happened around 8.30pm on Wednesday when the girl and a 15-year-old boy went to use the facilities in Fore Street, Port Glasgow.

She was then allegedly approached by the man, who is in his 30s.

“I would also appeal to the occupants of the blue BMW, who spoke to the man, to come forward.

“Anyone with information is asked to contact Greenock CID via 101, quoting incident number 4156 of Wednesday 22 May 2019.
