AN ANIMAL charity has launched an appeal to help find the owners of a cat handed into them last month.
A young male cat was taken into West Fife Cats Protection after being found in the Lumphinnans area.
When he was brought in, he was terrified and partially shaven.
A spokesperson for the charity said: "The reasons why he was shaved in this manor is still unknown but Cats Protection are hoping to find his owners soon.
"Unfortunately the cat isn't microchipped or neutered and it is possible he has ventured from his home and got lost."
If anyone has any further information or can help to reunite him with his family should contact West Fife Cats Protection on 07976 797711.
