COWDENBEATH MSP Annabelle Ewing is meeting with representative of ExxonMobil today to follow up Friday's public meeting held at Lochgelly Town Hall.

Ms Ewing attended the public meeting organised by the Mossmorran Action Group in the Town Hall and speaking today, Ms Ewing said: “I was pleased to be able to attend the meeting organised by the Mossmorran Action Group and one thing that is very clear is that there is a great deal of frustration felt as well as a lack of trust in the information that is being provided.

“People want the facts. They are looking for real time collection of data and more extensive monitoring, commitments to upgrade the site and a broader enquiry into the wider environmental, health and social impacts".

The MSP added: “As part of my ongoing campaign to get the answers and assurances that my constituents are demanding, I will be meeting with Exxon today and Scottish Government Ministers tomorrow and will be raising these matters at both meetings.”
