A TRULY amazing day. That was how RWM Robert Glencross described his experience as members of Lodge Ballingry 1183 celebrated 100 years since its establishment.

The rededication ceremony was held at the Masonic Hall, in Glencraig, when the hall was filled to capacity to witness the ceremony carried out by the office-bearers of the Grand Lodge of Scotland led by Grand Master Mason Bro Ramsay McGhee.

There was also a large delegation of office-bearers from the province of Fife and Kinross led by Provincial Grand Master Bro Stuart Quigley.

This was followed by a celebration dinner at which Lodge Ballingry's RWM Robert Glencross presented the Grand Master and Provincial Grand Master with suitably inscribed gifts.

He also presented the GM with a cheque for £500 for the Grand Lodge of Scotland Benevolent Fund.

The occasion was brought to a conclusion by the singing of Auld Lang Syne and the national anthem.

Robert Glencross said: "It was a grand day if a long one.

"I was down at the hall at 11am to help set things up and I did not get home until 12 hours later but it was a really unbelievable occasion.

"It really was a truly amazing day worthy of celebrating 100 years as part of the Benarty community."
