MOTORISTS were speeding on the East Fife Regional Road yesterday evening despite the bright sunshine.
A car was detected doing almost 100mph while a van was exceeding 80.
A post from Traffic Scotland yesterday stated: "Speed limits still apply when the sun is out.
"Two drivers on the A92 Lochgelly to Cowdenbeath stretch seemed to forget this last night, with a car detected at 97mph and transit van at 87mph. Both were 27mph over the speed limit for their vehicle on this road. #KnowYourLimits."
These are the latest cases of vehicles abusing the speed limit on this stretch of the A92 with many vehicles caught doing more than 100mph this year.
