THERE were some unusual runners taking part in Saturday's special Lochore Meadows Parkrun.
With it being Star Wars Day the running club invited people to dress as their favourite character for the day's 5K run and they were not disappointed.
There were well over 100 runners appearing as all sports of characters from the iconic Star Wars films.
Said Meedies Running Club's Dave McKay: "It was a really great day and the turn out was fantastic.
"Everyone had a fun time and there were some excellent costumes."
The park run started at 9.30am, in bright, if a little cool conditions, leaving from the Willie Clarke Centre, and they all set out to make their way, whether running or walking, round the Meedies track.
Lochore Meadows parkrun is a FREE weekly 5km event for runners of all standards, which takes place every Saturday at 9:30am in Lochore Meadows Country Park
