THE 4th Fife Scouts had a great day out at the Falkirk Wheel at the weekend when their coffers to replenish the equipment they lost in February's fire was augmented by a sponsored abseil by three intrepid members.
Nikki Maclean, Fay Wallace and Dana Paterson took on the challenge of abseiling down from the waterway to ground level.
Said treasurer Rosemary Wallace: "Thanks for everyone’s support it was a really magnificent effort.
"By the end of the weekend our Just Giving page was standing at £570 with more to come in so it will give our fundraising a major boost.
"Thanks has to go to Dana and Fay and Nikki for being brave enough to tackle this on our behalf".
Since the fire in February, which severely damaged their hall in Cardenden Road and destroyed all their camping equipment the 4th have been meeting at Bowhill Centre and there have been good contributions to various fundraisers to raise funds to replace equipment.
