COWDENBEATH drift racer, Stuart Adsley, had a great season in 2018 and he wants to do even better this year.

And he has a big date coming up at one of Britain's best known racing circuits.

Local drifter Stuart, known in the sport as 'Wee Stu, is the current 2018 Scottish Drift Champion, won at the Lochgelly Driftland track, beside the Raceway.

He drove impressively to achieve the title against some highly talented drifters.

Stuart, 24, drives a BMW e36 touring car with an e46 s54 M3 engine, running 370BHP.

He said: "It is a fully roll caged and poly bushed bc racing machine with fully adjustable coilovers all round with no expense spared on the building of the car.

"It was built from a bare shell and everything in this car is brand new."

Stuart has two strongly committed fans with his number one supporter being his young daughter Evah, along with partner Danielle.

Stuart has started the 2019 season impressively. Winning the championship last year got him a seeded place at the Drift Cup, with the the first round taking place at the 3 Sisters Racetrack in Wigan for the first time.

He managed to finish in second place against some incredible cars and will now get the chance to go to British Drift Championship at one of Britain's famous tracks.

Added Stuart: "I have been asked to take part in the Drift Cup down at Silverstone race track which will be a once in a life time opportunity and one I am really looking forward to being involved in the event."

His current sponsors are McGill’s Motorsport, in Kirkcaldy, and NHP Motorsport in Glasgow, but Stuart could do with more to help him continue to make an impact in the sport.

He added: "Sponsorship is important to help meet the costs of maintaining the car and other expenses and I would welcome people to get involved.

"I would be great to have local companies backing me."
