A SWAN and a young deer were creatures attacked by dogs in Lochore Meadows Country Park over the past week.
The swan was attacked on Saturday afternoon at around 2pm and the deer suffered injuries from the approach by a dog earlier in the week.
Park manager Ian Laing asked dog owners to remember to always keep their animals on a lead.
He said: "The swan and deer suffered injuries consistent with a dog attack and the SSPCA have been investigating the incidents."
Meanwhile the park suffered some illegal dumping at the start of the month.
Cameron McMurray posted on the park's Facebook Page: "Do you know around the Meedies who has had decking removed recently???? Because this is where it’s getting dumped, absolutely raging!!! A pile of wood was dumped at the car park near the entrance to Harran Hill Wood."
It is reckoned the wood had to be dumped by a sort of Ford Transit style tipper.
