THE congregation of Cowdenbeath Trinity Church are celebrating the 50th Anniversary of their Sinclair Drive building in May.

And they would welcome people's contributions of memorabilia and pictures they have of occasions they attended for a special weekend of events.

The Sinclair Drive building replaced the West Parish Church in Natal Place, in the late spring of 1969.

Said Trinity's Mary Scott: "This new building has been utilised for a great variety of uses as well as services over the years.

"We encourage everyone to think back to all those memorable times and the community spirit within them.

"We wish to include people's memories, photos etc in our Flower Festival, Exhibition and Songs of Praise on the weekend of Saturday and Sunday May 11 and 12.

"Please let us have your thoughts, memories and memorabilia with your name on them by April 28. Send them with your contribution to Trinity Church Social Group, Sinclair Drive. Cowdenbeath KY4 9PA or by email to mary.scott1968@sky.com"

The Trinity Church building has been home to Cowdenbeath Flower Show for many years now and also houses other events held by the town's Horticultural Society.

The building lends itself to housing the display of flowers, vegetables and crafts each September and is popular with the public attending the show.

It is also used by other community groups in the town.

There will be people with many memories of the church building for occasions they may have attended and Mary and the congregation would love to hear from you.
