PEOPLE from the Cowdenbeath-Lochgelly area attending funerals at Dunfermline Crematorium will find problems caused by roadworks lasting around three weeks.

Essential road resurfacing work will begin on Masterton Road, in Dunfermline, on Monday April 22. The work should take around three weeks and is expected to finish on Sunday May 12.

As access to the Crematorium is only available from Masterton Road, it is expected to cause delays for visitors to it.

Bereavement Lead Officer Avril Guild explained: "Temporary traffic controls will be in place and, while the crematorium car park will remain open, no parking will be available on Masterton Road during this time.

"We're advising visitors of the possible noise and parking issues they may encounter and recommend that they adjust their arrival times to minimise delays to services."

The work will include the entrance and exit to Dunfermline Crematorium over the weekend of 11th and 12th May 2019. The Crematorium car park will be closed that weekend with pedestrian access only for the Memorial Gardens and Bereavement Services Office.
