WOODEND Road, in Cardenden, is to receive a major overhaul.
The busy road, which links the Lochgelly area and Glenrothes, has been showing signs of wear and Cowdenbeath Area Committee was told by the Roads Department’s Ian Jones that the entire stretch of Woodend Road would be the subject of a resurfacing project.
Mr Jones indicated that the project would cost £181,000 to undertake and had category 1 status.
Meanwhile in Crosshill a full length combined footpath and carriageway upgrade is to take place costing £40,000, in Catherine Terrace, which will see the pavements upgraded as well as the road.
