FIFE Council intend to spend £125,000 on upgrading the surface of Bridge Street in Cowdenbeath.
The Cowdenbeath Area Committee was told by the Roads Department's Ian Jones that this stretch road linked the town with the A92 and was heavily used.
The recommendation was for a 'full length patching project' on Bridge Street which was to be recommended as a Category 2 project.
Mr Jones also reported that North Street, in Lochgelly, was due for £81,000 to be spent on Phase 2 of upgrading the surface of what is a busy street.
Councillor Darren Watt welcomed the news but felt that the report tabled lacked detail on what was to be done: "Think that members would appreciate a bit more detail on the works to be done on projects."
