BEER money is going to help families in the Cowdenbeath area.
Home-Start Cowdenbeath pitched successfully for £1,500 which will help them fund a play worker post to deliver play and Bookbug sessions at their weekly volunteer-led group.
The family support charity struck lucky after entering a Dragon’s Den – run by Dunfermline Round Table – on March 28 to bid for some of the proceeds from the annual Dunfermline Charity Beer Festival.
The money will help Home-Start run the project over the next year.
Proceeds from the Beer Festival, which is held in the Glen Pavilion in Dunfermline, are split between Dunfermline Rugby Club’s youth programme and Dunfermline Round Table.
The Round Table then distribute their share to charities and good causes at the Dragon’s Den event.
