THIS week's Down Memory Lane selection of pictures comes from another exile, this time from Glasgow.

Hugh Robertson is a Lochgelly man originally but moved to work in the west of Scotland in the 1970s.

Said Hugh: "I had these pictures in a drawer so I thought I would have a bash at improving them and I hope you might be able to use them. There are some good shots of Bank Street and Main Street."

The picture of Bank Street is indeed an old one and was pre the cinema days so it is at least 80 years old. The Main Street shots were taken in 1945, which features the Bay Horse Tavern and the other is from the late 50s or early 60s and shows the Lochgelly Co-operative Society shops. The other picture is the Crown Dairy staff which was run by Shepherds, thinks Hugh.

If you have any old photographs you would like to see in Down Memory Lane send them to editorial@centralfifetimes.co.uk or take them to the Times Office, 17 Bank Street, Lochgelly, on a Monday or a Friday.
