THE Co-op has been given the go-ahead to build a new store in Kelty.
At least 15 new jobs could be created at the new shop, which will be built on land next to the Ex-Servicemen's Club in Cocklaw Street.
The development to replace its premises in Main Street would see an investment in excess of £1.75 million and would help to sustain existing jobs and create new posts because of its larger size.
The hours of operation have been restricted to between 6am to 10pm, Monday to Sunday, by Fife Council's planning department.
It has also been agreed that there will be no deliveries to, or dispatches from, the premises outside the hours of 7am to 6pm, Monday to Friday; 8am to 3pm Saturdays and 10am to 3pm Sundays or Bank Holidays.
