A 64-YEAR-OLD Lochgelly woman was caught drink-driving when more than five times over the limit on New Year’s Day.
Mary-Ellen Murphy, of Ballingry Street, appeared in the dock at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.
She admitted that on January 1, in Centre Street, Kelty; Ballingry Street, Lochgelly, and roads between, she drove a car having consumed excess alcohol.
Her reading was 111 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, the legal limit being 22 microgrammes.
Sheriff James MacDonald called for reports and Murphy will be sentenced on April. 17. She was banned from driving in the interim with immediate effect.
