A SPECIAL talent show is being held at Hill of Beath Ex-Servicemen's Club in April.

The event will help a charity that works with training assistance and therapy dogs.

As part of their fundraising the group, known as Olivers Army, is holding a Fife's Got Talent contest on Saturday April 27 at Hill of Beath Club, when they aim to underline the talent that Fife has.

Said a spokesperson for the charity: "Please come and show your support for our charity and watch what Fife people can do at Hill of Beath Club on April 27.

"Our charity supports mental health and will be opening a drop-in centre soon. We also train Assistance Dogs and Therapy dogs, for PTSD, Autism, Anxiety and Veterans and visit schools with our Read to Dogs project.

"We raise funds to pay for all assessments for our dogs in training".

Cowdenbeath councillor Darren Watt has been recruited to be one of the judges at the event at Hill of Beath Club.

He said: "They are keen to have the same style and format as the Britain's Got Talent T.V show and I am delighted to have been asked to be one of the judges.

"It should be a really good event raising funds for a very good cause."

Auditions have been held at Dunfermline's British Legion Club and 20 acts will take the stage for the big final.

Tickets for the talent show are £7 for adults and £3 for children which include a buffet and there will also be a raffle held on the night.
