THE former Trustee Savings Bank branch, in Lochgelly, is set to become a cafe hot food takeaway, if a planning application is granted.
Mr Mohammed Khan has asked Fife Council for consent to change the use of 142-146 Main Street, from a Bank (Class 2) to cafe (Class 3) and hot food takeaway, along with the installation of a flue and extraction fan.
The bank branch in East Main Street closed upwards of three years ago and has been lying empty ever since and at a time when there has been a lot of improvements going on in the centre of the town, this is seen as something which is needing upgraded.
