LAST year 1,475 marriages were registered in Fife, many of them involving couples from the Cowdenbeath-Lochgelly area.
Marriage ceremonies took place in 245 different venues across the county, ranging from historic buildings, fairytale castles, elegant mansion houses to stylish Registrars’ offices.
Fife Council’s Registration Service is a team of dedicated and experienced staff who will help make a couple’s big day perfect in every way.
The team offer advice from completing legal documentation to personalising your ceremony with vows, readings, music, hand fasting and quaich ceremony – your day, your way all for a set fee.
Karen Henderson, Fife Council’s Chief Registrar said: “We encourage couples planning their marriage ceremony to get in touch with us to discuss their wishes. In Fife we’ve many stunning locations, including our own Registrars’ offices, that make ideal venues for special occasions.
“Certain times of the year and locations are very popular so we ask people to get in touch with us as soon as possible.”
