THE people of Hill of Beath are being urged to get along to a special information event today (Wednesday) which will give them a chance to find out what the new integrated £1.5m Community Centre and Nursery project will offer the village.

Fife Council staff will be on hand to answer any questions in regards to the new integrated community and nursery facility which will replace the current Community Centre.

More detailed plans will also be on display, with tea, coffee and biscuits available throughout the day as people come and go.

Local councillor Alex Campbell urged people to go along and see what this massive improvement to the village is about and how it will work.

He said: "This is a highly significant project for Hill of Beath as the village gets ever bigger.

"It will see the old community centre removed and be replaced with a brand new building which will provide a modern nursery provision which can also be turned into a top class community centre."

Councillor Campbell added: "The village community council has worked with the council's children's services committee to get one or two adjustments to the plans which has seen a bigger kitchen facility and storage space.

"This is a really impressive project and the open day event will let the people of Hill of Beath ask any questions they might have about it and get answers from the council officials there.

"This is a very significant facility and £1.5m is top level investment in the village."
