A COWDENBEATH woman has appeared in court for an assault on her adult daughter by grabbing her neck and squeezing it.
Margaret Baker, 57, of Keir Street, was in the dock at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.
She admitted that on March 11 last year, at Marshall Crescent, Cowdenbeath, she assaulted her daughter by seizing her by the neck, applying pressure and scratching her, all to her injury.
Sheriff James MacDonald said: “This is a crime of violence which includes applying pressure to the neck area and the court has no option but to treat this as serious.”
He called for reports and sentencing will take place on April 3.
