THE Central Crime Prevention Panel have committed themselves to supporting the F24 project being organised by the Cowdenbeath Community Police Team at BRAG's Crosshill Centre.
Wednesday's meeting of the panel heard that the project, carrying the name 'Popo Cops' was making very good progress.
The car has been assembled, wiring completed, and the next step will be the test track!
Over the past four years the F24 project has seen a number of success stories with trips to the United States included.
The panel has supported the project and on Wednesday, as they were going through potential targets for support, the members fully agreed that they would be happy to provide backing for this year's team.
Said chairman, Colin Bird: "The Communty Police team and staff at BRAG do an excellent job with the young people who get involved in building these electric racing cars.
"I am sure that the 2019 racers will be looking to make their own name in the events coming up and we will be delighted to support them in any way we can."
In recent seasons the panel has helped with special kit for the team and assisting with catering requirements.
The panel was given a boost at the meeting when treasurer Betty Wotherspoon reported that they had received a grant of £2,000 from the 4Winds Trust Little Raith Fund which helps support their community activities.
