A COWDENBEATH man who struggled violently with police after being arrested has appeared in court.

Bryan Mitchell, 25, of Lochgelly Road, appeared from custody at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.

He admitted that on January 28 at Dunfermline Police Station, he struggled violently with seven officers.

He also admitted shouting, swearing, acting aggressively and making threats of violence towards his former partner when he was in the police station.

Mitchell denied another charged of assaulting his partner in Lochgelly Road, Cowdenbeath, and this plea was accepted.

Sheriff Chris Shead called for reports and sentencing will take place on March 27. Mitchell, who had spent 30 days in custody, was released on bail.
