BOWHILL Pool's 50th birthday was marked in the Houses of Parliament.
Cardenden MP, Peter Grant, was disappointed that Parliamentary business meant he missed Thursday's celebration of the 50th anniversary of the opening of the pool but he put forward an Early Day Motion which included: "This House congratulates everyone at Bowhill Swimming Pool on the occasion of the pool's 50th birthday; thanks Fife Sports and Leisure Trust and all the dedicated staff for ensuring that the facilities have remained an integral part of the community, particularly following the devastating fire of 2015, celebrates the customers past and present who have ensured that the the swimming pool has remained a focal point in the community over the past 50 years."
It was signed by many MPs.
